Council is in the process of updating our key planning documents, and we need your help!

There are four key planning documents on Public Exhibition, which form the suite of integrated plans that will guide the current Council term. Between Friday 29 April and Thursday 26 May, the community is invited and encouraged to review and comment on these four documents:

  • Draft Community Strategic Plan: Sustainable Blue Mountains 2035
  • Draft Resourcing Strategy 2022-2032
  • Draft Delivery Program 2022-2026 incorporating the Annual Operational Plan 2022-2023
  • Draft Fees and Charges 2022-2023

Blue Mountains Mayor, Councillor Mark Greenhill said: "These documents contain our vision and priorities for the future, as well as Council's commitment to deliver on its responsibilities for building a sustainable and successful Blue Mountains.

"Integrated planning and reporting is how Council plans to deliver services that meet the needs of our community, and then reports back on what we did and how well we did it.

"Effective planning and reporting is critical, as it forms Council's roadmap for managing short, medium and long-term issues and challenges, and tracks our progress to achieving our goals.

"Effective planning also needs the input of our community, which is why Council and I are encouraging everyone to review these documents and provide your feedback."

Over the past two years Council has consulted with the community on multiple occasions to develop these plans. We want you to know that we have listened to you, and these plans include the vision and priorities you have laid out for the future of the Blue Mountains.

This review is an opportunity to take stock of where we are at, and ensure these documents reflect the current vision and priorities of our community. This is particularly important given the new challenges we have been facing over the last two years.

The community is invited to review the draft documents and provide their feedback by Thursday 26 May at: here

All feedback and comments will be reviewed and considered. The final plans will go to the June Council meeting for adoption.
